Taylor Swift Dominates MTV VMA with Seven Awards and Thanks Her Boyfriend for His Support

Singer-songwriter Taylor Swift was the big winner of the night at the MTV Video Music Awards, taking home seven awards, including the coveted Video of the Year for her collaboration with Post Malone in the video ‘Fortnight.’ She also secured the titles of Artist of the Year and Best Pop Artist, bringing her total to seven awards from her twelve nominations.

Swift made history by winning the Video of the Year award for the fifth time, solidifying her status as one of the most successful artists in VMA history. Alongside these achievements, she also won for Best Collaboration, Song of the Summer, Direction, and Editing.

The ‘Fortnight’ video, directed by Swift herself, features the singer with her face covered in tattoos, styled similarly to Post Malone. The video also stars actors Ethan Hawke and Josh Charles. Upon receiving the night’s biggest award, Swift thanked her team and dedicated the recognition to everyone involved in the project.

One of the most heartfelt moments of her speech came when she expressed gratitude toward her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, for his constant support. “I remember that after each take, I would hear a voice cheering from the back of the set, and that voice was always Travis. Everything he touches turns into happiness, fun, and magic, and I want to thank him for that,” she said emotionally.

At just 34 years old, Swift has amassed an impressive total of 30 MTV VMA awards, tying Beyoncé’s record. This milestone makes both artists the most awarded in VMA history.

During her first acceptance speech of the night, Swift took the opportunity to pay tribute to the victims of 9/11, reminding everyone of the importance of that day and the need to remember those who suffered from the attacks.

Swift also wowed on the red carpet with a striking gothic princess look, wearing a yellow and gray tartan dress, complete with a corset and an open-front skirt revealing black shorts. She accessorized with high boots and cross-strapped gloves, once again proving her status as a style icon both on and off the stage.
