The Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut: the undisputed king of speed after breaking 4 records in a single day

The hypercar Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut has etched its name in automotive history by completing the 0–400–0 km/h in 27.82 seconds, but it didn’t stop there. This impressive supercar broke three additional speed records, cementing itself as one of the fastest vehicles ever built.

Equipped with a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine producing up to 1,600 hp and 1,500 Nm of torque, the Jesko Absolut has reaffirmed its place in the elite hypercar segment. During a series of tests, it shattered the previous record held by the Koenigsegg Regera, setting a new benchmark in acceleration and braking.

Under the command of Swedish test driver Markus Lundh, the Jesko not only broke the 0–400–0 km/h record, but also reached 400 km/h in just 18.82 seconds, covered 250 mph in 19.20 seconds, and completed the 0-250-0 mph in 28.27 seconds. It also achieved a top speed of 412.72 km/h, edging closer to the ambitious 500 km/h goal that the Swedish brand aims to achieve in the near future.

These feats were accomplished at an airfield in Örebro, Sweden, under controlled conditions and with a nearly standard version of the Jesko Absolut. The minimal modifications included the use of E85 fuel, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires, a roll cage, and a seat from a Koenigsegg One:1, ensuring maximum safety and performance.

The goal of reaching 500 km/h remains, and Koenigsegg is gearing up to find the optimal conditions that will allow the Jesko Absolut to break this impressive milestone in the near future.
