Uniqlo Expands Its Collaboration with Clare Waight Keller into Menswear – Japanese brand Uniqlo, part of the Fast Retailing group, has strengthened its partnership with renowned British designer Clare Waight Keller by expanding, for the first time, the “Uniqlo: C” fashion line into menswear. Waight Keller, who joined Uniqlo in August 2023 with an exclusively women’s collection, is now extending her range to include men’s clothing.
With a distinguished career in fashion, Clare Waight Keller is known for her work as creative director at luxury brands like Chloé and Givenchy. Her minimalist and fluid style, which has defined the “Uniqlo: C” line, remains a key feature in this new offering, where feminine and masculine elements are harmoniously blended to create a versatile and gender-neutral collection.
Unisex Clothing and Premium Fabrics
Each of the “Uniqlo: C” collections shares a unified identity, with subtle distinctions between the women’s and men’s offerings. This new collection features a fall-inspired color palette of stone gray, limestone white, moss green, ocean blue, and black, all designed around a minimalist aesthetic. The pieces will be available starting September 5th, both online and in selected Uniqlo stores worldwide.
In the women’s collection, standout pieces include high-quality cashmere garments like “Heattech” thermal shirts, oversized blazers, trench coats, and A-line dresses. On the other hand, the men’s collection features wool jackets, shirts, pants, and Chelsea boots. Additionally, many items, such as hoodies, padded coats, and bags, are unisex, highlighting the gender-neutral nature of the line.
Versatile Pieces for an Essential Season
Although the men’s collection is more compact, it remains true to the minimalist and functional approach of the designer. From soft-toned poplin shirts to felted knit jackets and wide-leg trousers, the pieces in “Uniqlo: C” offer a relaxed, modern city style. The collection is rounded out with a variety of accessories, including scarves, nylon tote bags, and basic sneakers.
With this new collection, Uniqlo and Clare Waight Keller capture the essence of essential basics for the Fall/Winter 2024-2025 season, offering a sophisticated yet accessible line for both men and women alike.
