Bugatti has burst into the era of electrification with an impressive masterpiece: the Bugatti Tourbillon, a plug-in hybrid hypercar that combines a V16 gasoline engine with a colossal power of 1,800 hp and the DGT’s ZERO label.

With the Tourbillon, Bugatti has made it clear that electrification is not at odds with extreme performance. This new model not only surpasses its predecessor in speed and lightness, but does so with an innovative combination of hybrid technology.

The Bugatti Tourbillon: the jewel of electrification is a technical feat, with an 8.3-liter V16 internal combustion engine that delivers 1,000 hp and a maximum torque of 900 Nm, capable of reaching up to 9,000 rpm. But it doesn’t stop there: the Tourbillon features three electric motors developed by Rimac, located in the front wheels and gearbox, which together generate 1,800 hp. This configuration allows the Tourbillon to reach 100 km/h in just 2 seconds, 200 km/h in less than 5 seconds, 300 km/h in less than 10 seconds and 400 km/h in less than 25 seconds, with a top speed of 445 km/h (380 km/h without the special key).

In addition, the Tourbillon can travel up to 60 kilometers in fully electric mode thanks to its 24.8 kWh lithium-ion battery, granting it the coveted CERO label from the DGT in Spain.

Despite its superior power and battery, the Tourbillon is lighter than the Chiron, weighing 1,995 kg compared to its predecessor’s 2,070 kg. This weight reduction, combined with its streamlined design and carbon-fibre chassis, highlights its focus on performance.

Despite the absence of screens on the centre console, the functional and aesthetic design remains at the level expected of a Bugatti.
